Computer Club-Techno Consortium: Today's recruiters want professionals with sound technical knowledge, equipped with good communication and presentation skills. To meet this demand the department started a Computer Club named Techno Consortium.
Inter-collegiate Meet/Event
The Department organizes an IT meet Anveshana to give the students an insight of the current market requirements. Speakers are invited from the industry and academia. Various events like Debugging Contest, Web Harvest etc., are organized and winners are awarded.
  Our Achievements
Organized a one day IT seminar, ZEPHYR-2003  IT never ends… on 7th Feb, 2003 at Indira Priyadarshini Auditorium, Public Gardens, Hyderabad which aimed to narrow the gap between the industry and academics.
Organized a spectacular one day National Level IT Symposium, ANVESHANA ’06 in the year 2006 and ANVESHANA ’09 in the year 2009 at St. Joseph’s PG College, Hyderabad, to bring the techies and ITians together for honing their technical skills.

SASMITA - Department of Computer Science has a Social Service Cell named SASMITA which actively organizes various events for the less privileged. Every year the faculty and students select a place and visit them. Games are organized and gifts are distributed to the children residing in those places. Students and faculty are active participants of SAMITHA.
